Residential Cleaning Company

I unfortunately used Hadley St James as my cleaning company when moving out of a flat. I thought everything would go well as they had someone attend for a quote and to see the property. I made it clear that the flat was furnished and that anything left in the flat was the property of the land lord. I luckily came back to the flat prior to handing in my keys for the inventory and noticed that several items were missing.

They had thrown out brabantia bathroom bins and toilet scrubbers (about 100 worth), kitchen materials including le creuset oven mitts, and also all of the locking mechanisms on the windows. I was luckily able to retrieve some of these items via "dumpster diving" in my own outside bins (which were also left a mess) but am now getting claims from my security deposit that are due to the unprofessionalism of HSJ.

I am not one to usually complain or write reviews but this experience really irked me and hopefully this will either get their attention or warn future potential customers to stay away.

ZERO Hi, I hired this service last september, an end of tenancy service. And Hadley St James IS A FRAUD. We asked for an end of tenancy cleaning service and we agreed for a price and they charge us for the complete service that was three times more over the price we agreed and they didn't helped us at all and of course they didn't refund us the money the have stolen us.

We didn't asked for a window cleaning service and we didn't have carpets in our apartment but they charged us with this service aswell. Also they didn't give you a bill or a written document when you book the cleaning service so there is no proof after. And they also damaged our counter top and they didn't discount any money. This was the process: we sent them an email asking for fees for an end of tenancy cleaning.

They answered with their standard rates, and told us that there would be an inspection to determine what works would need to be done. But this inspection never happened. Then they send us an email telling us that as we didn't specified anything, they charge us for the whole package, they don't even make sure if we have carpets or not, or if we want the windows clean or not.

Can they assure us that they cleaned the windows? I know they can't do that for the carpet, because there is no carpet in our flat. Maybe it would have been great if they had asked us before charging us the whole service. My advice is PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THEM!

We recently used Hadley St James for a carpet and upholstery clean which was brilliantly carried out by a gentleman named Frank. Great customer service (very accommodating with our time and of current Covid protocols), prompt arrival and a great finish - our carpets haven't looked that good since they were laid. I was recommended to use this company by my letting agency and I can honestly say I was very happy with the service. Hadley's took care of everything from collecting the keys, providing the cleaning, attending the check out. Made my move a lot less stressful and the cleaning was superb. I used Hadley St James to clean two sofas that had bad stains and to clean badly stained carpets also. Tenants eh? Boris who came round is a cleaning magician as far as I'm concerned! In a couple of hours the sofas and carpets came up beautifully. The sofas almost looked brand new. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm or use them again. Fantastic!

The most stressful, overpriced and shoddy 'service' for an end of tenancy clean (and I have used a fair few companies in the past). Turned up much later than expected and then upped and left mid way through a shoddy job 'as they had another job to go to' and would return the next day, despite stating it would be done in one day. They left leaving the back door unlocked!.I paid extra for curtains and nets to be cleaned.

And despite a pre clean home visit okaying it, apparently their machinery was inappropriate for the curtains. They still charged us for this 'clean'. I had to take another day's annual leave to 'supervise' their clean as they felt unmopped rooms etc 'were completed' and had to send photos of videos of the state of the house to the main office as the cleaning team were disengenious. Turned up towards the end of the inventory check out with the net curtains despite promising to be there an hour before.

Little things like not putting the extractor fan cover back on properly after cleaning the filter meant it didn't work etc just compounded a stressful overall clean. Whilst the end result was good, it did take an awful lot of calls to and fro to the office, supervising and having to ensure things are done. The clean team just looked overworked/fed up/tired.

I really wish I had gone with a competitor who was cheaper but admitted beforehand that they couldn't clean the curtains. Generally poor 'service' overall so unfortunately would have to say avoid them if you want a stress free excellent cleaning service.

I made a booking for a client of mine and I wanted to let you know that the landlord has asked me to let you know the work carried out was excellent and he will be using your services for all upcoming property cleans. A big thanks from me too, your work is greatly appreciated and I'm sure that the new tenant will be really happy living in her new home because of all the extra effort made by all of you.

This company and the team who attended for my end of tenancy cleaning did a wonderful job at my property yesterday. The work was very thorough and the team were all so cheerful - my property is quite large and they were all still working away at 6:30pm to ensure the clean was done perfectly for my check out the next morning. The window cleaner was excellent as well and i shall be using him on a regular basis!

I had a panic when another cleaning company let me down last minute. Hadley St James understood my situation and were able to fit me in and short notice. It was a fantastic clean and the check out went perfectly - will recommend to anyone AND everyone i know.

Hadley St James arranged an end of tenancy clean for me at short notice without fuss and completed the work to a fantastic standard. Following on from this piece of work I took them on board as my regular residential cleaning company. Highly recommended.
