Gary Elford who is a qualified engineer founded elfords exterior cleaning & restoration in 1994. Since then, elfords has steadily expanded and now has well over 600 customers within a 70-mile radius of our Bournemouth base, generally covering most of Dorset and Hampshire. Gary Elford, who is a time served qualified engineer, founded elfords exterior cleaning & restoration in 1994. Originally focusing on window cleaning elfords have gradually expanded and diversified into many different types of external cleaning and restorative cleaning services. We now regularly service in excess of 600 regular customers as well as many one-off projects from within the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
Pressure washing, or as some like to refer to it as jet washing, is where we use quality industrial high-pressure water cleaning equipment to restore many different types of surfaces to their former glory. There is a big difference between the quality equipment we use compared to what can be purchased at your local DIY store and the results that you can expect.
We understand the importance of maintaining the historical beauty and integrity of many types of heritage stone structures, from memorials, private homes, land mark structures and stately homes to name a few. Many of these are listed buildings and as such must be cleaned and restored within strict guidelines.
Modern (and old for that matter) gutter systems are designed to take roof rain water away from your property thereby preventing damp issues. Often of course guttering can be the least of our concerns until they go wrong. By the time this happens we may already have damp problems occurring due to blocked or damaged guttering overflowing etc.

Very sceptical about results before the cleaning as we had used high pressure cleaners before, which hadn't been particularly successful and had worn away the stone surface quite badly. Extremely happy with the results that took the colour back to original, but had almost no effect on the surface of the stone facade. He was also able to restore a statue that looked like a black and green lump, back to full glory.

I had the stonework cleaned at the front of the house and the finished effect is really excellent, even better than I could have hoped as the stonework is quite delicate. Gary Elford was prompt and always courteous, and his prior advice was very helpful and reassuring. In all very good value and very pleased.
