The problem with carpets is that they catch all the detritus of everyday life. You can use the best vacuum cleaner in the world on a daily basis but when you have finished you can still see dirt ATTACHED to your carpet fibres. When your carpets have reached this stage it takes advanced technology and a skilled operator to clean your expensive carpets thoroughly.

Yes of course you can buy a cheap 'steam stick' off a TV shopping channel or you can rent a small electric machine from a DIY store and do-it-yourself (hey the DIY option sort of makes sense) but these solutions, although cheap will not provide a DEEP and THOROUGH clean right down into the pile of your carpets. These short term surface cleaners may claim to offer a deep clean but the facts do not support these claims.

Our company operates two such US-made systems (Prochem and PowerClean) and we believe that in combination with other purpose-built carpet cleaning equipment (more of that below) we offer the best, deepest, hotest and most thorough carpet cleaning money can buy in the UK. And that is not an idle boast!

Our systems are truck-mounted because the machines are so powerful (and heavy) that they can operate from considerable distances away from the carpets being cleaned and yet still produce remarkable results. In addition to the 'very-hot-steam' which these systems generate we also use the world-class Rotovac carpet cleaning system for restoration cleaning - no finer combination of carpet cleaning equipment is currently available.

The carpet cleaning industry is very fragmented with various innovators including those that use low moisture systems that pretend to offer 'deep' cleans and there are many companies out there offering HWE or 'Hot Water Extraction' which is the system we favour. However in as much as all carpet cleaning is not the same - all HWE is not the same either. Some HWE is not hot water at all and very far from steam - some companies, usually but not always multi-van operations use single vacuum electric portable machines with very little real cleaning power. Typically these use YOUR domestic electricity supply with less than 3hp of actual cleaning power as opposed to self-contained truck-mounted machines that have 48hp! The multi van operators equip 20 or 30 untrained operatives who dash about the country doing mediocre or inferior carpet cleans that do the industry no favours at all. In the professional trade they are known as 'splash and dash' merchants and they often employ dodgy sales tactics like 'bait and switch'.
